Mr. Brightside Gamay Blanc

Mr. Brightside Gamay Blanc

Tim Fulnecky entered the wine industry as a cellar hand in 2015 and quickly realized it was his calling. Encouraged by his mentor, he began producing his own wines in 2016, focusing exclusively on Gamay Noir from California’s Central Coast. While many of his wines draw inspiration from the great wines of Beaujolais, others take a more unconventional approach to the grape.

Now working under the moniker Mr. Brightside, Fulnecky continues to expand his vineyard sources while maintaining a commitment to minimal intervention winemaking. His process includes harvesting grapes and pressing them onto dry ice before allowing the juice to settle. Fermentation occurs naturally over 19 days, followed by immediate racking to stainless steel drums with sulfur added to prevent malolactic fermentation. The wine then ages in stainless steel for six months before bottling.
