Miles Garrett Wines is a small, family-run winery located in Humboldt County, near California’s Cascade Range. Miles, along with his wife and daughter, manages the entire operation, from vineyard to bottle. Their focus is on producing wines that truly reflect the land and unique microclimate of the Willow Creek AVA. Committed to sustainable practices, the vineyard is CCOF certified organic, with grapes grown using dry-farming methods—meaning no irrigation is used. In the winter, cover crops are cultivated, and farm animals are allowed to graze in the vineyard, promoting a balanced ecosystem. This holistic approach extends to the winery, where Miles practices natural winemaking with minimal intervention. Fermentation occurs with naturally occurring yeasts, and no sulfites or additives are introduced at any stage. His dedication to preserving the essence of the land and embracing the rugged conditions of Humboldt County results in wines that are a true expression of this unheralded terroir.

This vibrant field blend of Carmenere & Cab Franc is predominantly fermented in whole clusters and aged in neutral French oak barrels. It’s bursting at the seams with deep, luscious dark fruit and peppery-ness. Crushed blackberries, ripe plums and a surprising minerality!
