This small flask may not seem like much, but Mezonte Raicilla is so special, labor intensive and important in the world of agave spirits. Lorenzo & Tomas Virgen aren't following rules and regulations. They are using local agave species which are then cooked underground for 3-4 days, chopped by axe, and fermented for 2 more weeks. The result will haunt you for life! Layers of flavor that will transport you all the way to Jalisco, near the Fuego Volcano and the unmistakable history of Mexico's deep agave tradition. Salud!
