The word "Kolfok" finds its origins in a regional dialect, representing a person who challenges conventional thinking and holds a critical stance. At the helm of winemaking for Kolfok is Stefan Wellanschitz, who was born into a winemaking family in Neckenmarkt, an estate with a rich history dating back to the early 19th century when the region was still Hungarian rather than Austrian. His wines are so precise, acid-driven and balanced. This is a new release made from a field blend of Saint Laurent, Pinot Noir, Blaufrankish, Furmint and Rotburger.
