Gentle Folk Rainbow Juice

Gentle Folk is owned and operated by husband and wife team Gareth and Rainbo Belton. 

Prior to winegrowing, they were both marine scientists, specializing in phycology (the study of marine plants). A love of wine, food and growing things eventually drew them away from academic life. The Gentle Folk story began in 2012 after spending free time in Basket Range helping and hanging out with James Erskine (Jauma), Alex Schulkin (The Other Right) and other early pioneers of the Basket Range wine movement. Their wines are made with love for enjoyment - nothing more, nothing less!

And Rainbow Juice is one of our favorite wines they make. But they don't miss! Made from a bit of free run juice (the initial juice that effortlessly flows out of the grape berries without pressing is known as free run juice), a bit of skins, a bit of direct press and bingo....a super aromatic textural delight with zippy acidity ready to quench your summer thirst! The result is pure perfection. We could drink bottles and bottles of this all summer long (and will!).
