Rosalind, of Emme Wines, is an organic grape farmer and natural winemaker in Northern California, crafting wines without additives. Since starting her own project in 2018, she has thrived within a supportive community of like-minded growers and winemakers. For Rosalind, wine is a deeply communal endeavor, shaped by the collective efforts of field workers, winemakers, and industry professionals who contribute to every bottle. Inspired by this collaborative spirit, she creates fresh, vibrant wines designed to spark thoughtful conversation and bring people together. Her work celebrates both the community behind the wine and the connections it fosters.

This Carignan is harvested late for deeper color, more tannins, and higher alcohol. This showcases Carignan's versatility, excelling as both a light, fruity rosé and a structured, earthy red. The fruit was partially foot-crushed and fermented 100% whole cluster, with additional foot-crushing during fermentation to enhance color and texture. After 10 days on skins, the wine was pressed to tank to finish fermentation, then aged in neutral oak barriques and a puncheon. Indigenous yeast fermentation, minimal SO₂ (10 ppm) at bottling, and no additives preserve its authenticity. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, this Carignan reflects purity and depth.
