Champagne Andre Clouet Grande Reserve Brut
Champagne Andre Clouet Grande Reserve Brut
Andre Clouet, a Négociant-Manipulant, has a rich history. The Clouet family served as the official printers to Louis XV’s Royal Court, and this attention to detailed craftsmanship continues with the current generation. Jean-Francois Clouet, a showman who takes pride in his lineage, lives in the house his ancestors built in 1741, with the wine cellars below. The domaine spans 20 acres of Grand Cru vineyards on the middle slopes of Ambonnay and Bouzy. This Andre Clouet Grand Cru Reserve NV is a 100% Pinot Noir champagne, sourced entirely from the village of Bouzy. This wine offers aromas of apple butter, scones, marzipan, orange peel, Granny Smith apples, clay, and baking spices like nutmeg and clove. On the palate, it presents moderate weight with flavors of golden apples, clotted cream, and a light hint of citrus. Compared to previous releases, this version is slightly lighter but still showcases the distinct character of Pinot Noir. 8 grams of dosage.
