Alferdo Maestro "Lovamor" Blanco

Alferdo Maestro "Lovamor" Blanco

Lovamor is a charming skin contact wine (with questionably problematic label art) made with 100% Albillo Mayor, a white grape variety primarily found in the Ribera del Duero region of Spain, although it's less commonly grown than the dominant red grape, Tempranillo. You don't see it often! Alfredo Maestro is a Spanish winemaker who has garnered attention for his commitment to natural winemaking practices. Beginning his winemaking journey in the late 1990s in the Ribera del Duero region, Maestro sought to create wine that truly reflected the terroir, without the influence of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or additives that were common in conventional winemaking. Breaking from tradition, he focused on organic viticulture and minimal intervention in the cellar. Lovamor is an outstanding skin contact wine! It offers notes of bruised apple, tropical fruit and a little honey. Layered and complex! Perfectly balanced and pure. Highly beloved by natural wine beginners and veterans alike.
