El Mero Mero Mezcal Espadín is such a standout. A pure expression of Oaxacan craftsmanship: bold, elegant, and unapologetically authentic. Produced in Santiago Matatlán, the heart of mezcal country, it is made from 100% Espadín agave that is roasted in an earthen pit, stone-crushed by tahona, and fermented naturally in open wood vats. The result is a mezcal that opens with bright notes of roasted agave and citrus peel, followed by layers of minerality, white pepper, and a hint of clean smoke.

On the palate it feels supple and balanced, with vegetal tones, a touch of sweetness, and a whisper of salinity. “El Mero Mero” translates to the boss, the real deal, and this mezcal lives up to its name by delivering a smooth, honest spirit that celebrates tradition while inviting everyday enjoyment neat, over ice, or in a refined cocktail.
