Wonderwerk, also known as House of Fermentation, was founded by high school friends Issamu Kamide and Andrew Lardy from Virginia. Now based in Los Angeles and Gilroy, they produce what they call supernatural wines, utilizing grapes from various regions in California. Issamu and Andrew take a hands-on approach to every aspect of their winemaking, including the bottling process. Their winemaking philosophy combines low-intervention techniques with high-innovation concepts, often leading to collaborative and unconventional wines. The idea for Wonderwerk originated during a lively night on a disco dancefloor, embodying a spirit of celebration and creativity that is reflected in their wines. Today, Wonderwerk invites wine enthusiasts to partake in this adventurous and creative journey, offering a unique experience that epitomizes their vibrant and innovative approach to winemaking.
