Wavy Wines Stampede 2024
Wavy Wines Stampede 2024
A wild-hearted red with deep roots, Stampede is Wavy Wines’ ode to heritage vines, natural beauty, and pure California energy. Made from an old-vine field blend of Zinfandel, Grenache, Mission, Carignan, and Alicante Bouschet, this bottling comes from the storied Stampede Vineyard which was planted in the 1920s along the banks of the Mokelumne River and lovingly farmed by the Perlegos Brothers.
The ancient riverbed soils here give the wine both concentration and lift. On the nose and palate, expect juicy cassis, ripe strawberries, and tangy rhubarb, all riding on fine-grained tannins and bright, natural acidity. It's vibrant, textured, and beautifully balanced.
Stylistically, it hits that sweet spot of old-vine depth with a fresh, West Coast attitude. It’s the kind of wine that fits right in at a backyard hang in Echo Park or a low-key dinner in Silver Lake. Bright, soulful, and just a little offbeat in the best way.
Wrapped in a label by LA fave John Zabawa, this bottle brings natural wine energy with real roots. We’re obsessed.
