Tenuta Tascante 'Ghiaia Nera' 2022

From the black volcanic soils of Mount Etna, “Ghiaia Nera” (which means “black gravel”) captures the grace and energy of Sicily’s most iconic terroir. Made from 100% Nerello Mascalese grown on the northern slopes of the volcano, this wine reflects both the power of its origin and the finesse of careful winemaking.

In the glass, it shows a luminous ruby color with lifted aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, crushed herbs, and a hint of smoky earth. On the palate, it’s silky and precise, with fine tannins and bright acidity that carry through to a long, mineral finish.

This is a beautiful introduction to Etna Rosso - balanced, approachable, and full of character. Perfect with roasted meats, mushroom dishes, or aged cheeses.
