Saison Sherry Cask Rum

This incredibly unique bottling from Saison blends two five-year-old rums sourced from Barbados and Trinidad, which are then shipped to France for an additional year of maturation in French oak casks that once held Cognac. To finish, the rum spends three months resting in fresh Pedro Ximénez sherry barrels, adding another layer of character. The final spirit is rich, structured, and nuanced.

You can pick up the sherry influence right away on the nose; lots of dried fruit, raisin, and a touch of leather with that rich, wine-like edge. Tasting it, the rum feels warm and layered, bringing maple sweetness, tart red currant, and a bit of dark chocolate, all tied together with a gentle spice that lingers on the finish. So cozy!
