Poggio delle Baccanti Gragnano
Poggio delle Baccanti Gragnano
From the Gragnano sub-zone in the Penisola Sorrentina, Campania, this wine is a naturally fizzy red crafted with indigenous grapes including Piedirosso and Aglianico, occasionally blended with Sciascinoso, Castagnara or Suppezza. The grapes come from organically farmed vineyards; winemaking is low-intervention with spontaneous fermentation, minimal sulfur, and frizzante (light sparkle) style.
On the nose, expect bursts of red cherry, strawberry, and wild berry with earthy undertones and a hint of rustic spice. The palate delivers juicy fruit, balancing subtle tannin, a perceptible acidity, and light effervescence that refreshes. There’s a touch of rustic grip and minerality - not heavy, but deeply characterful.
