O Faya Farm Fyasco Blanc
Ô Fâya Farm Fyasco Blanc is a vibrant natural white wine from the Valais region of Switzerland, made by winemaker Ilona Thétaz on her small biodynamic farm in the hills above Saxon. The farm's name comes from the local dialect word for "sheep," which play an integral role in maintaining the land and providing natural fertilizer alongside apricot trees, donkeys, chickens, and vines. Ilona started making wine in 2019 with a joyful, minimal-intervention approach (no synthetic pesticides, little to no added sulfur, unfined and unfiltered) creating wines that are fresh, lively, and full of bright acidity. Her motto says it all: "a bottle you open is a bottle you finish!" The hand-painted labels, created by Ilona and sometimes her daughter Emma, depict the peaceful yet wild landscape of their little paradise above the Rhône Valley, making each bottle as unique and artisan as the wine inside.
