The Matsui Single Malt Sakura Cask from Kurayoshi Distiller is distilled in the rich, natural environment of Tottori Prefecture, Japan. Carefully crafted with heart and passion and brought to proof with high-quality natural spring water from Mt. Daisen. Made with 100% malted barley, the Sakura (Cherry Oak Cask) imparts a crisp fragrance of cherry blossoms. This opens to baked apples, buttercream and dried lemon peel. The finish is long with hints of fresh wood and toasted almond. This whisky received the highest score among ALL Japanese Whiskies in the 2022 Ultimate Spirits Challenge. Comes with gift box.
