Calcis IGT Terre Siciliane

Le Fontane’s 2023 Calcis is a white wine from Chiaramonte Gulfi in Sicily, crafted by the Occhipinti siblings under their new Le Fontane label. It’s grown on limestone-rich soils that impart a stunning minerality and freshness. The wine sees some skin contact and indigenous yeast fermentation in concrete, giving it texture and golden color. On the palate it offers bright acidity, floral notes (think petals), subtle yellow-fleshed fruits, and a distinct saline edge, balanced with medium body and structure. Definitely a new F&F team fave!
