Better Late "After Hours" Amaro

Better Late "After Hours" Amaro

Better Late is a small-batch organic amaro made in Los Angeles by Ciana and Ben, two Italian East Coasters (Ciana is 50% Sicilian, Ben grew up in New Jersey) who founded the only Black-owned amaro company in the US. The company takes inclusion and community very seriously while taking everything else less seriously, creating what they call the most fun amaro brand you'll ever meet. Their botanicals are responsibly sourced from around the world and sometimes from their actual backyard, hand foraged whenever possible, and minimally filtered to let the fresh botanicals shine. Better Late amaro is made with just roots, herbs, dried fruit, spices, and non-GMO neutral grain spirit with no additives.

"After Hours" is their bittersweet digestivo featuring fresh California spruce needles, smoky rhubarb root, and yarrow flower that sing a distinct melody. The flavor profile is described as more satisfying than getting hit on by the third hottest person at your local dive bar. Bottled at 24% ABV, it sits at a lower alcohol content than traditional amari, which means chiller nights and the option to enjoy it in different ways. When topped with seltzer, the ABV drops to less than a glass of wine but tastes way more complex.

This is a perfectly balanced cocktail in exactly one pour. Drink it straight with a twist, add a splash of something bubbly, or use it in your favorite amaro cocktails. Made for lingering, designed for the after-hours lifestyle, and handcrafted with love in LA.
