The 2023 Lou Chardonnay, a remarkable wine from Presqu'ile Vineyard, is an exceptional offering for customers. This vineyard, family-owned and organically farmed, is situated in the Santa Maria Valley AVA, Santa Barbara County.
The Chardonnay is direct pressed very slowly and barrel fermented with native yeasts. The wine ages untouched and unfiltered, in neutral French barrels for 10 months with no additions. Influenced by the nearby Pacific Ocean, the grapes benefit from morning fog and afternoon breezes, creating a distinct terroir. Only 636 bottles produced! Talk about small batch!
