Akashi Goju 50 Sherry Cask Malt & Grain Whisky

Crafted at the White Oak Distillery in Hyogo, one of Japan’s oldest licensed whisky producers, Akashi Goju 50 Sherry Cask Malt & Grain Whisky is a higher-proof, sherry-finished blended Japanese whisky. "Goju" translates to "fifty" in Japanese, highlighting its elevated 50% ABV (100 proof) strength, which is an upgrade from the classic 40% ABV flagship Akashi blend.

On the nose, a savory-sweet aroma of dried dates, black raisins, smoked sea salt, orange peel and vanilla pastry - this is complemented perfectly by the palate, with notes of baking spices, floral sweetness, tart cherries, fig and dark chocolate. The finish lingers, with a subtle smoke and hints of dark chocolate.
