January 2023
  • Château de Grand Pré Beaujolais Morgon
  • Château de Grand Pré is a family-owned estate located in the southern part of Burgundy, in the Fleurie and Villié-Morgon regions. By the year 2000, the family had already stopped using any and all chemicals in their vineyards and were fully certified organic in 2012. This certified organic Beaujolais sings!!! Bright red fruit that’s both electrifying and comforting at the same time. Made from 100% Gamay from 50 year old vines planted in decomposed rock and crumbly schist soil. Maceration for 10 to 15 days, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and no added sulfites. She’s a natural beauty! Structured and earthy enough to balance the red fruit. This is the perfect wine to enjoy any night of the week or bring to a friend’s house for movie + pizza night. Beaujolais always pairs well with poultry like chicken and turkey as well as pork dishes. Serve slightly cooler than room temperature but no need to drink fully chilled unless that’s your thing. No judgment and no limit to the amount of joy you experience this year. Happy 2023!

  • Le Haut Planty Les Yonnières Muscadet Sèvre et Maine
  • Michel Couillaud converted his father’s polyculture farm into a vineyard in the 1960’s. Then, the next generation of the family took over with a new way of thinking about winemaking and wine, while respecting the traditions of the past. Part of this meant converting the vineyards to 100% organic viticulture and embracing natural wine. Located in the heart of Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, between the mildness of the Loire river and the freshness of the Atlantic ocean, Le Haut-Planty is situated on the best hillside of Le Landreau. They have been practicing organic farming since 2007 and finally got certified in 2015. Les Yonnières is made from certified organic Melon de Bourgogne (aka Melon, Muscadet and many other synonyms) (in the U.S. it is known mostly in the regions of Oregon and Washington state). The style is light, fresh and extremely food-friendly, pairing well with seafood like raw oysters, fish and chips or sushi. Serve this wine chilled and serve with sushi takeout, or a raclette themed dinner with your favorite Swiss melty cheeses, boiled potatoes and pickles! This is heaven. Welcome! You deserve it.

  • Superbloom Orange
  • A delicious + fun + refreshing skin contact wine to kick off the new year right. Superbloom is a Spanish wine from the Catalonia region made with Malvasia and Muscat. 20 days of skin contact for just the right amount of structure and seriousness, balanced by juicy aromatic notes of honeysuckle, citrus fruit, white peaches and herbs. Serve chilled and pair with cheese and charcuterie, a turkey sandwich or garlic butter noodles. Clean and food-friendly, this orange wine is the perfect bottle on a rainy day inside or a sunny day in the park. Choose your adventure! Salud!

  • Pierre-Olivier Bonhomme ‘Le Telquel’
  • Le Telquel is a Flask & Field SUPERSTAR wine. It has always been a wine that has charmed our staff and customers and will always be an F&F bestseller. We love the adorable pup and we love the delicious natural wine inside. It’s made with organic fruit from two farmers and some of Pierre-Olivier's own grapes. The name Telquel is a pun using the word Teckel (Dachshund) spun to sound like the word “as is”. It’s one of our most favorite Vin de France table wines that evolves from vintage to vintage but is always a delicious, high quality Gamay dominant wine. Juicy with loads of red fruit like plum, blackberry, and pomegranate, balanced with notes of potting soil and forest floor. Whole cluster maceration for 15 days so you can taste the soft tannins and textures that make this wine so rustic and easy to drink. This is the type of wine you put a slight chill on and share with your friends on game night, movie night, pizza night, Taco Tuesday or any outdoor hang that goes from day to night. Enjoy this outstanding wine!
