March 2024

It's March! Let's frolic in the sun! Yay!

1. Acri Wines Nebbiolo

Acri Wine Company specializes in low intervention, varietal-driven wines, highlighting sustainably farmed fruit from family-owned vineyards throughout Southern California. They constantly seek the finest vineyards and varietals in the region. All of their label artwork is created by Los Angeles native Gary Ward. This Nebbiolo is light on it's feet compared to more traditional wines of the same varietal while maintaining a beautiful depth and nuance, no aging necessary! We are completely charmed by this bottle - so fun to drink and share. Enjoy!
  • Producer: Acri Wine
  • Region: San Diego, California
  • Varieties: 100% Nebbiolo
  • Alcohol: 14.2%

2. Gaia Barbelino Monferrato Rosso

Don't mind any dust you might find on this bottle - it's the real deal! This Italian red wine, with its deep ruby color, offers a blend of fresh fruit flavors like cherry, strawberry, and raspberry, balanced with high acidity and medium tannin, making it ideal for Italian dishes. We love the elegance and versatility of Barbera - so food friendly, earthy and easy to love. It comes from an organic estate in Piedmont, Italy, that spans two rolling hills, with half of its 43 hectares dedicated to vines. Absolutely delicious!
  • Producer: Gaia
  • Region: Piedmont, Italy
  • Varieties: Barbera, Grignolino
  • Alcohol: 14%

3. Domaine AMI "Oeillade" 2021

AMI, founded by friends Paul Perarnau and Willy Roulendes, merges Paul's sommelier and wine sales experience with Willy's 20 years in winemaking. Launched in 2014, their Domaine now spans 2 ha in Maranges and sources 4 ha of organic grapes from Côte-d'Or. This wine, featuring Oeillade and Syrah from schist soils, combines organic farming and winemaking with aging in old barrels and stainless steel, resulting in flavors of black plums, blueberries, herbs, and exotic woods.
  • Producer: Wagner von Wohlgemuthheim
  • Region: Languedoc, France
  • Variety: Oeillade, Syrah
  • Alcohol: 11%

4. De Levende Fred's Roby Red

Fred's Roby Red
