Antonio Pereira Tinto Bom 2021 (shown below!)

Introducing an unconventional dry red from Vinho Verde, Portugal, crafted from the indigenous Tinto Nacional varietal with both red skin and flesh. Unlike its white counterparts, these reds are less common in the U.S. Aged for a few years, the wine transitions from a fruity profile to earthy nuances, presenting a dark inky red that's light on its feet. Produced by certified organically farmed grapes on granite soils, it undergoes foot trodding, native yeast fermentation, and three years of steel aging before release. Unfined, unfiltered, and sulfur-free, this versatile Tinto Nacional pairs exceptionally well with seafood, making it a standout red for fish enthusiasts.

  • Region: Vinho Verde, Portugal

Mas Castello Carbonica 2021 (shown below!)

This 100% Syrah wine stands out for its moderate body, distinct from fuller-bodied counterparts. The nose is characterized by a forward fruitiness, while the palate features dark fruit notes. Carbonic maceration imparts a lightness, setting it apart from heavier Syrahs. This technique contributes to a wine that is agile on the palate, offering a unique and approachable expression of Syrah with a balance of fruit-forward aromas and a lighter, more nimble character.

  • Region: Côte du Roussillon, France

Karim Vionnet Chiroubles "Vin de Kav" (shown below!)

Winemaker Karim Vionnet, born to Algerian parents, found his path in the wine world after a career as a baker in Morgon, Beaujolais. Embracing natural wine, he worked with legends like Guy Breton and Marcel Lapierre. As a negociant, he oversees the organic farming and vinification of 5 hectares in Beaujolais, with vines aged 40-60 years. Situated on a North-facing slope at 480m altitude in Chiroubles, this Gamay variety yields a serious and structured Beaujolais. Dark and brooding, it reflects the region's essence, offering a unique perspective shaped by Karim's journey and commitment to organic practices in winemaking.

Scribe Carneros Pinot Noir 2022 (shown below!)

Scribe simply cannot make a wine we don’t love. There is a heft and sophistication to the bottles that align with the ethos of the winery. They take winemaking seriously but ultimately, the wine speaks for itself. It’s always excellent. The Carneros Pinot Noir is light, bright and balanced, with notes of crunchy rhubarb, lupine (aka bluebonnet) flowers and cacao. This wine will pair well with duck, chicken, mushrooms, duck and soft cheeses by Gruyère, Comté, Emmenthal, and Gouda. Scribe Winery is located in Sonoma, CA. They produce vibrant, terroir-driven wines. The winery was founded in 2007 on a property that pioneered pre-prohibition Sonoma Valley winemaking and is managed by 4th generation California farmers and brothers, Andrew and Adam Mariani. Andrew and Adam believe that the best wines are a result of a healthy relationship between man and nature, and that a vineyard managed in harmony with the greater ecosystem results in more site-specific wines that represent a sense of time and place. When vinified with non-interventionist methods, the result is a distinct wine that faithfully reflects what the vineyard naturally expresses.

  • Producer: Scribe Winery
  • Region: Carneros AVA, Sonoma, CA, USA
  • Varieties: 100% Pinot Noir
  • Alcohol: 13.5%
