Ruge Primario Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore - Extra Dry

Ruge Primario Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore - Extra Dry

Ruggero Ruggeri made a significant decision to utilize his 10 acres of high-altitude Valdobbiadene grapes for his Prosecco. His Extra Dry Primario is produced exclusively from hand-harvested Glera grapes, which undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine matures on the lees for 3 months during the initial fermentation and then spends an additional 40 days in tanks for the second fermentation. It falls into the category of a lighter, medium-bodied wine with a slight off-dry character, boasting an alcohol content of 11%. The palate delights in a fine effervescence and flavors reminiscent of peach, apricot, and apple. The wine concludes with a leesy finish, displaying a well-balanced interplay between acidity and fruitiness. This Prosecco pairs excellently with antipasti, spicy dishes, fruit desserts, or can be enjoyed on its own as a delightful aperitif.

Prosecco: Prosecco can be made in various sweetness levels, including Brut (dry), Extra Dry (slightly sweet), and Dry (sweet). Ruge is Extra Dry meaning it has just a touch of the right amount of sweetness!
