Neta Espadin Capón Mezcal (Celedonio Aquino Gutiérrez)

NETA works closely with 20 small family producers and a cooperative of 12 palenqueros from the southern valleys and hills of Miahuatlán, Oaxaca. They exclusively produce single batch mezcal from a single oven or harvest of agave. Each production uses traditional practices only and the size of output will vary from season to season, reflecting the availability of natural resources. Agave spirits are agricultural products after all! The result is not more is more but rather a higher quality mezcal with a real connection to land, culture and people.

Celedonio and his wife Telesfora have legacy dating back to 1808 and they continue to uphold the agrarian and gastronomic traditions of the region with great pride!
