Mata Hari Bohemian Absinthe

Mata Hari Bohemian Absinthe

Mata Hari is a bohemian style absinthe from Vienna, Austria, made by the Fischer family since 1881. It's "Bohemian" style means it had a milder anise flavor, allowing it more versatility in cocktails. It's named after the exotic dancer and international spy, Mata Hari. It is currently the only Bohemian absinthe available in the United States!

Bohemian-style absinth lacks much of the herbal profile and density of authentic absinthe. It is traditionally drank in a 'fire ritual' cocktail, prepared by pouring absinthe over a sugar cube into a glass and then light cube on fire to caramelize the sugar before dissolving it into the glass and adding water.
