From the historic cellars of Abbazia di Novacella, this 100% Schiava (Vernatsch) offers a beautifully light and vibrant expression of Alto Adige’s alpine terroir. Grown on permeable moraine soils over porphyritic bedrock at elevations of 350–420 meters, the wine reflects its cool, northerly exposure with bright, lifted aromatics of red cherry, wild strawberry, and a hint of rose petal.
Fermented on the skins for five days in stainless steel, it shows delicate structure and fine tannins, with a lively, refreshing palate marked by juicy red fruit, soft spice, and a subtle mineral backbone. Elegant, charming, and endlessly drinkable, it’s a classic example of Schiava’s pure, mountain-fruited character.
